A Road to Reflectionis a historical research and critical analysis which examines the developmentof Zionist settlements and mirrors the changing attitudes towards Palestinians. The project analyses how the settlements reflect on changing historical contextsand socio-political relationships through the lens of architectural urbanplanning and spatial design. This research focuses specifically on three uniquetypes of settlements characterising the Zionist movement: Moshava, Kibbutz andWest Bank settlements. Taking the impact of specific historical events intoconsideration, the project reveals a shift in perception of Palestinians bydifferent factions within the Zionist movement: from living side by side, through indifference to animosity.
- A road to reflection is my graduation thesis. It is both a publicationand an installation.
- Presented at Dutch Design Week 2024, as part of the DEA Graduation-Show.

Our movement is influenced by the sounds that we hear around us. We dance according to the music we hear. Music has always developed by challenging the norms, trying to push towards new experiences, emotionally and physically. DISTORT flips this dynamic, generating sound from movement insteadof the other way around.
With DISTORT, movement becomes music creating a way to explore self-expression and performance.
"DISTORT is a wearable instrument powered by a Teensyduino microcontroller (similar to Arduino), portable speakers, and a battery, all integrated into a back unit. Two gyroscope sensors in gloves enable users to generate sound through hand movements.
I took two gyroscope sensors and put them into gloves, then by the hand movement you can manipulate the sound. I wanted the "instrument" to be independent, so I added a backpack that contains the microcontroller (Teensy) with all the necessary components and two speakers. Music develops by challenging the norms, DISTORT attempts to do that in a different way.

Growing upin Tel-Aviv I have a strong connection to the city, and I still consider it my home. Today I live my life ‘on the road’ moving from one place to another, packing my things every few months and moving them. The fact that I can’t take the city with me led me to create a wearable representation of it, allowing me to take it where ever I go. The International style of architecture came to define the characteristics and aesthetic of Tel Aviv, as it has the largest number of ‘Bauhaus’ buildings in the world. I aim to highlight these characteristics and aesthetical values of Tel Aviv by translating them into bags, creating an object that can move and come with me at any time. Building Bags aims to commemorate the city landscape in bags and create a transferablecity.
For my translation I took pictures of the selected buildings, then started to analyze them. Balconies become 3D pockets going out of the main surface, windows become flat packets made from elastic black straps, and shading elements become zipper pockets.

During my fourth year in Design Academy Eindhoven, Ispent a few months in East Africa, specifically Uganda and Kenya, researching theimpacts of fast fashion industries in the global south.
First I joined NIAAD academy in Uganda and then Imoved to Kenya to work with a local designer. In addition, I attended “EcoFashion week Africa”, which took place in Nairobi during my time there.Throughout my travels I visited as many secondhand markets as I could, both inbig cities and rural areas. Being in Kenya and Uganda was a chance to observeand experience first hand the effects of the industry and deepen myunderstanding of this issue in its initialcontext.
My research includes documentation through analog and digital photography aswell as hands-on research such as garments and accessories created with-in the context of my research.
I decided to share my research and experiences through two Magazines.
Upcycled garments design from my time in NIAAD Academy, Uganda.
Leather bags designs from my time in Kenya.

The City That Wanted to Feel Pretty is a short children's story about the struggles of one city and it's encounters with other beings around it. It's goal is to expose people at a young age to the urgency of sustainable cities.

A series of analog photos that tell the story of an album.
When was the last time that you did a single thing, with no expectation for an outcome?
We live in a “Road-Runner” culture, that means, we live in a system that sees time as the most valuable resource. But what do we sacrifice? Meaning and impact are reduced, we harm ourselves, we cannot relax and simply do nothing.

I was inspired by the way that the fabric is woven. The weaving creates small square shapes and texture on the fabric, this reminded of the world of pixels. Inspired by the textures of Kvadrat’s textiles and taking inaccount the urgency in sustainable practices in the textile industry, I designeda series of pouches using leftover fabrics, sewed together as 4x4 cm pixels.
"A leader in design innovation, Kvadrat produces quality contemporary textiles and textile related products for architects, designers and private consumers across the world." / Kradvat's website.

Mixtape –“a compilation of music, typically from multiple sources, recorded on to a medium”
Going back to my memories I remember “burning” CDs for me and my friends. However, their most common use in popular culture is making a Mix for your partner, telling them how you feel.
MixFeelings is a gesture for mixtapes and their culture, not creating one for a partner but flipping the narrative and making six. Telling stories from my past relationships through my point of view.
EssayistGeoffrey O'Brien described this definition of the mixtape as "perhaps themost widely practiced American art form." - Wikipedia.

In 2022 Tel-Aviv was announced the most expensive city in the world. As someone who grew up there, and wants to live there again, this is something I found deeply disturbing. Tel-Aviv expanded rapidly between 1920-1960, there for a lot of the architecture was influenced by, if not designed in according to the guide lines and values of the Modernist Movement. Reflecting on this history and the current state of the city, I tried to imagine what the city could look like if it would have been expanded with the knowledge and the values of urban planning today. I designed a series of postcards of “My Imagined Tel-Aviv”, as postcards are a capture of a specific time and place.

Exploring the possibilities that alternative fashion can give us (e.g. the way that we consume clothes and treat them), I started researching alternative solutionsto the way we consume clothes in the fast fashion culture.
I created a collection that reflect on the way we might preserve garments in the future.
Sewing and Silkprint - Pushing the standards of mainstream fashion, I designed two outfits only from used clothes.
In my studies I got into analog photography as a hobby. I try to explore the possibilities within that format (photography, developing and scanning) and to experiment with them. I found this to be a useful tool in my practice.
